TVC Active Travel

Cycling is a great way to get around our communities and electric bikes open up opportunities that might feel difficult on a manual bike. We have a collection of electric bikes which local people can borrow. AM, PM or full day sessions. Basic training can be provided on booking one of our e bikes.

Cost £15 for a morning or afternoon session and £30 for a full day. £50 deposit required plus proof of identify and address is needed on day of collection. Booking must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Please phone 07388 236233

We offer free cycle maintenance classes provided by an experienced mechanic. We have 2 courses on offer

• ‘On the Road’ which covers basic repairs while out on the road – punctures, adjusting brakes etc. 2 hours. At the Aberfeldy Town hall. Dates TBC
• ‘In the Garage’  covers all parts of the bike, enabling you to fix most issues. 6 hours in 3 classes of 2 hours or a full day. At the Aberfeldy Town Hall. Dates TBC.

Cycling is great but you may feel you lack the skills or confidence to get in the saddle.We offer various courses, all free. 

We currently offer 2 courses

• Essential Cycle Skills – a basic level course to build skills for the road. 2 hours. Dates TBC
• Cycle Ride Leader – for those wishing to take others out on the road for on road cycles. 1 day. Dates TBC.

A gentle, supported, fun guided ride.  Booking is by  phoning 07388 2636233. Routes vary and may involve a stop for refreshments in a cafe.  Electric bikes may be borrowed for the rides, by prior arrangement or bring your own bike.

We are currently recruiting more volunteers to lead these rides.  Training will be provided. Do get in touch if you think you can help.
