We live in a place where it's not easy to get around unless you have a car and are able to drive. TVC aims to make it easier for people who have a hard time getting around.
(Transport work formerly known as Upper Tay Transport. See our strategic plan here.)
Community Lifts is our local Highland Perthshire volunteer driver scheme. Volunteers offer to drive where they need to go. Drivers receive basic background checks and passengers cover mileage and parking costs.
The 91 bus serves Aberfeldy, circling through Kenmore, Fearnan, Fortingall, Dull, Camserney, and Weem. with the last bus at 1:45 pm. Previously just three days a week, a collaboration between TVC, Transport for PKC and funding from Smarter Choices, Smarter Places, the service is now five days including a Saturday trip to Kinloch Rannoch.
Unfortunately, a driver shortage has limited further service expansion. Consider riding this scenic route. Stops in Kenmore offer coffee and food, and you can walk back to Aberfeldy from there. For more details, visit or ring the Aberfeldy Information Centre.
This is a way for people who are going places to offer lifts to people who need to go places! You organise your lift directly.
We have nearly 200 people signed up locally and the more people who sign up, the better it will work.
Active travel is good for you and for the environment. Travelling actively means walking, cycling, scootering or even running. We lend out electric bikes, provide free bike training, supporting cycling groups and more.
